ROSE MARIE'S ITALIAN BISTRO
Northern Italian cuisine in a casual fine dinning atmosphere, a full bar, and a hearth oven are offered. Rose Marie's extensive menu has resulted in several selections that feature cream or vegetable based sauces, a variety of unusal seafood entrees, bread and pizza crust served hot from a wood-fired hearth oven and elegant desserts such as zabaglione, tiramisu and gem-like fruit sorbets.
Rose Marie's freshly made dishes benefit from the Susquehanna Valley's abundance of farm-fresh produce and variety of home grown herbs. These naturally delicious ingredients enhance selections such as Wood-fired Tuscan Bruschetta, Eggplant Parmesan Pizza and Chicken Umbertina. Located in near-by Sunbury, Spyglass Ridge Winery grew grapes and sold them to other wineries from 1995 through 2001, but in 2002 they started making wine. All grapes are hand-picked and the wines are aged in fine grain oak barrels, which provides a slower extraction of flavors and tannins, making the wine taste better. Among the wines available at Spyglass Ridge Winery are: Chardonnay 2002 & 2003, Riesling-Traminer 2002, Vignoles, Vidal Blanc, Niagara, Calyssa Blush, Stuben Blush, Tam's Red, Concord, Chambourcin, and Cabernet Franc.
Spyglass Ridge Winery is open for wine tasting, tours, and catered events including weddings, parties & music festivals. For more information, call (570) 286 - 9911.
